Mike Mana

Driving, euphoric house built on Celtic and Nordic folk melodies, with fiddle and cello carrying the hooks over a beat that never lets up. One listener called it “a medieval rave in my village”, which is about right.

Biography

Short bio

Mike Mana makes driving, euphoric house built on Celtic and Nordic folk melodies, with fiddle and cello carrying the hooks over a beat that never lets up. His track “No Fear Of Tomorrow” passed 13 million streams within five months of its release. Fans call it “a medieval rave”.

Long bio

Mana is a Polynesian word for the life force that flows through everything. In video games, it is the power behind every spell. Mike Mana means both: music that gives people strength when they need it most. His motto, From Darkness Into Light, is no naive positivity. It is a hard-won arrival, and the phoenix in his logo and tattooed on his back tells the same story.

His sound fuses progressive house with the ancient: Celtic and Nordic folk melodies, fiddle and cello, and a cinematic scale inspired by Hans Zimmer. It is built for the dancefloor, euphoric and driving, never chill-out. Listeners describe it as “celtic techno” and “nostalgic and brand new at the same time”. Under “Never The Same” they hear The Last of the Mohicans, under “Turn Into Light” they picture hobbits dancing on the table.

The German-born artist spends most of the year on the road, from Bali, Tulum and Koh Phangan to Ibiza, Zurich, Berlin and Colorado, and films his live sets where the music belongs, like a clifftop above Camps Bay in Cape Town at sunset. He releases on his own label, House of Mana, and runs his marketing himself. Staying independent is a choice.

“No Fear Of Tomorrow” passed 13 million streams within five months, close to two million people listen every month on Spotify, and thousands of creators have used his music on TikTok. Nora En Pure played “Follow The Light” on Purified Radio, and his stages range from Waterfall Festival on Koh Phangan to Unison Festival in Colorado.
